RIBBON WALL | INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS
Twin Engine teamed with SmithGroup JJR and Airpark Signs & Graphics to design the environmental graphics at the United Way's new headquarters in Phoenix. Our main task was to convey the story of United Ways’ volunteers and the people they serve, on nearly three thousand square feet of continuos wall space. The “ribbon wall” graphics integrate existing photographs with a collection of quotes from clients and volunteers. Contour-cut printed 3M vinyl, zone identification plaques, lobby identification and a meticulous installation by the team at Airpark created an inspirational experience in this unique and stylish work environment.

INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS
Following Brick & West's redesign of its 18,000-square-foot headquarters, Lane Terralever hired Twin Engine to devise and implement comprehensive interior environmental graphics. Our primary task was to physically communicate the agency’s mission statement and core values via the building's architecture. We also designed hand-painted displays of famous quotes and worked with Lane Terralever’s team to assemble the photographic tribute to famous authors featured in the new Writer’s Room.

PLACEMAKING
Working with Airpark Signs & Graphics, Twin Engine created a powerful placemaking identity for this boutique hotel in Tempe. Dramatic 6-foot high neon lettering is supported by a rooftop-mounted frame, complementing the building’s mid-century architecture.

INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS
Our goal in redesigning this identity theft protection company was to create a workspace that would encourage collaboration, foster innovation, and communicate the company’s core values through its built environment. Working closely with the team at LifeLock, and with Mike Rumpeltin and RSP Architects, Twin Engine crafted comprehensive environmental graphics with an emphasis on cultural messaging. The graphic experience is an architectural extension of the open office work environment.

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR IDENTITY SIGNAGE
In collaboration with Airpark Signs & Graphics, Twin Engine created brand identity signage for this full-service advertising agency in Scottsdale. We applied halo-illuminated stainless steel signage to both the exterior and interior of the building, producing a seamless look. The result is a clean, modern identity that highlights the building’s contemporary architecture.

An adaptive reuse project, Old School 07 converted a former school and church building into a popular restaurant and retail destination. Twin Engine worked with Wetta Ventures, Mike Rumpeltin and RSP Architects in the creation of the name, identity and signage. This project's crowning jewel is a corner monument sign constructed from water-jet cut translucent 3Form resin panels. The lettering is illuminated by sunlight, creating light and color intensities that fluctuate with the time of day and changing seasonal conditions.

BRAND IDENTITY | EXTERIOR SIGNAGE
Twin Engine partnered with the Madison and Patry Building Company to develop a new brand identity for this Phoenix yoga and cycling studio. Through concentrated involvement and planning in the initial project design phase, we created a building identity to work in harmony with the architecture. Oversized and dimensional address numbers add a sculptural element to the building's front.

The Yard is a 10,000-square foot, indoor/outdoor restaurant concept housed in a former motorcycle dealership in Central Phoenix. Twin Engine worked with Mike Rumpeltin and RSP Architects on the adaptive reuse project, creating the brand identity and signage applications. To complement the space's industrial vibe, we retrofitted the original project identification sign with reclaimed barn wood and utilized scrap steel I-beams for tenant identification signage. Hand-painted, gold leaf lettering applied to the vintage restroom doors adds a finishing retro touch.

An adaptive reuse project, Joe's Midnight Run converted the legendary Joe's Drive-thru Liquors into a high energy, hip hop themed bar and restaurant. For the project signage, we salvaged the original pole sign, cables and all. With a nod to the establishment's history, whisky offerings and grilled fare, we faced the sign with custom charred oak. Stencil painted lyrics of hip hop classics wrap the walls inside out. To complement the 80's and 90's theme, we sourced a vintage break dance sign from Finland.
